Really Cooking MED

Shane has set up Paula on a date with his friend and client Nigel McCormack. Paula is going back to his place where he’s going to cook for her.

The apartment block we parked below was very posh. I shouldn’t have been surprised but I was a little intimidated as I walked into the marble-lined lift.

‘I don’t know about you,’ Nigel said, turning to face me, ‘but I am starving.’

‘Yes.’ I nodded, arrested by his amazing eyes. ‘I’m famished.’

‘I think I need a nibble now to keep me going.’ He smirked, half of his mouth smiling, the other half holding a sardonic, knowing line.

I was still examining the curve of his smile when he pressed his lips against mine.

I gasped in shock, then melted into the kiss and his embrace. I found the front of his shirt and grasped it firmly while his arms wrapped around me and pulled me hard against his body .

His lips were firm and demanding and I eagerly submitted to their rough advances. Somewhere a bell dinged, and he pulled away .

‘This is my floor,’ he remarked as casually as if we’d been politely discussing the weather.

‘Oh right ,’ I stammered like a Friday night fool who’d drunk one too many . He took my hand and led me – no, pulled me down the brightly lit corridor after him. I was dazed. I had just been kissed, I was sure I had. I could still smell his zingy scent and feel the sting where his slight stubble had rubbed against my skin, but he was so calm and collected, maybe I’d just been fantasising again.

‘Come in, make yourself at home. I’m going to head straight for the kitchen, but you do whatever you want. Wander freely . The cleaning lady was in earlier so I’m confident that everywhere will be much neater and tidier than when I left it.’

I nodded and watched him walk down the corridor and into a room to the right. I took the door on my left and found myself in an opulent but sparse living area filled with big, masculine black sofas and soft mink-coloured walls. I bet a pound to a penny Shane had helped pick out the décor for this place.

I took the time to compose myself then realised I needed to find the little girls’ room. I tried the door directly across from where I was and closed it quickly when I noticed the big bed. The next door I tried led to a sparkly clean bathroom that I was almost scared to use. I’m a common girl, really , and all the luxury made me feel a little uncomfortable. I was out of my depth and wondered about making an excuse and leaving before I made a fool of myself.

Then I remembered the kiss and decided to stay ; that kiss was worth risking embarrassment.
