My grandfather used to love mincemeat pies at Christmastime. I never understood, as a child, why one would put meat in a pie. (I know now that it’s not *actual* meat at all, of course.) I’ve still never tried one.
Perhaps I’d be more inclined to take a bite of mince pie if one was presented in such a delicious fashion. ;)
