Welcome Kay Jaybee for another Friends Friday!
I love reading novels. There is nothing like getting immersed in a nice long juicy saga, that keeps you hooked- making you want to do nothing but read all day. However, like so many other people, I simply don’t have the time to read as much as I’d like to, and am frequently grateful for the shorter tale.
There is a real sense of achievement when you finish reading a story. A feeling of completion which can be a long time coming if you only have ten minutes a day in which to read. This is where novellas and short story collections really come into their own. In this busy world of ours, there is a lot to be said for books you can dip in and out of with ease.
It was with people like myself in mind, folks who only get to flick the pages of their books, or tap the screens of their Kindles, while they are in the bath, on the bus, or grabbing ten mins while the potatoes are boiling before dinner, that made me write this blog. And it occurred to me two of my books in particular, The Collector (Austin & Macauley, 2nd ed 2012) and Not Her Type: Erotic Adventures With A Delivery Man (1001 Nights Press, 2nd ed 2013), are perfect naughty reads for slotting into our busy lives.
Made up of 21 individual stories- some very very short, some a little longer- each bite sized and steamily kinky from The Collector, be it in a romantic, fantastic, MF, FF, or MFF is sexy all the way. Linked together by the narration of a female ‘collector,’ who has gathered the tales together, The Collector will easily fill those ‘time to read’ gaps in your day.
Not Her Type: Erotic Adventures With A Delivery Man, is a novella made up of short action packed chapters. I can truly promise you that not a word is wasted in my steamy little courier tale.
Here’s the blurb for you…
One unexpected, head swimming romp later, and Jenny is left wondering if her courier will ever visit her again, and if he does, will he mention the hot sex they had on her living room floor that Tuesday afternoon, or will he pretend that it hadn’t happened?
When the following Tuesday arrives and John reappears on Jenny’s doorstep, the scene is set for a continuation of intensely kinky weekly meetings. There is only one problem. John really really isn’t Jenny’s type….
Each chapter in this novella can be read in short bursts when time allows. Although, I must advise you- if you are boiling veg, or waiting for a cake to bake while you read, you’d better make sure you don’t get too engrossed, or they might boil over or burn…
If you fancy reading either of these books, you can find them on Amazon UK and US, as well as with other reputable book and e-retailers-
