I love to visit Victoria! I’m so happy to be here at her blog again, to tell you all about my new novella, Confessions of a Kinky Wife.
If you’ve read as much spanking erotica as I have, you’ll probably be aware of Domestic Discipline. If you haven’t, you might appreciate a little explanation. ‘Domestic Discipline’ is an umbrella term for relationships or marriages in which one partner assumes a position of authority. The ways in which this is exercised can be many and various, and generally tend to evolve, in the more successful instances, through a process of mutual exploration based on trust and respect.
When I first became aware of it, I was fascinated to see how rigidly some practitioners stuck to certain ‘articles of faith’ put about on the internet. There seemed to be a number of sites telling people how to do it and insisting on its being done in a certain way for it to count. I disagreed with a great deal of what I read, but I didn’t reject the idea of Domestic Discipline out of hand because, at its core, it clearly offered a lot of people a way of living that suited them and made them happy. People wrote of enhanced intimacy in their relationships, of comfort and peace and contentment – all of these are good things.
So I decided to write about a married couple who are ordinary people in every way, apart from the wife’s deep-seated desire to be called to account by her husband for certain behaviours. Dan is no domestic despot, micro-managing every minute of Philippa’s life but a caring and compassionate husband who wants his wife to be happy. At first, he finds the dynamic awkward but once he takes to it – boy, does he take to it!
Here’s the blurb:
It’s difficult, as a modern woman, to admit that you want your lover to punish you. Not just a fun spanking in the bedroom – real punishment.
Philippa knows what she wants. She wants her police officer husband to take her in hand.
But how do you ask your lover to hurt you? And, if they’re willing, how do you make sure that being taken in hand doesn’t get out of hand?
Philippa and Dan explore the secret world of Domestic Discipline. Perhaps it will suit them, perhaps it won’t. But they mean to find out, one way or the other.
