Pleasure in Pain: Hot Wax Play #reallife #BDSM #submission @Kinkcraft

I’ve been fascinated by the idea of hot wax for a very long time. I saw something back in my teen years (I don’t remember what or why precisely now) that showed someone bound and blindfolded having wax dropped on them from candles in a candelabra. I was intrigued but apart from accidentally being dripped on by in house domestic candles or the slim ones at church for candlemas I’d not experienced it myself.

I purchased some special low temperature candles from Kink Craft to play with. It’s important to have specialised candles for the job as you don’t want to do any permanent nasty damage just the fun, burny happy kind! I got a blue and a red candle and also at Smut Manchester Last year bought a lovely lilac coloured candle in a wax play jug.

Now, we’ve had these items for ages and never got round to playing with them. Then the other day I was being cheeky (how unusual!) and Kev casually inquired how I thought I should be punished and straight away I jumped to hot wax.

We went upstairs and covered the bed with our Sheets of San Francisco sheet to keep the bed clean. Definitely recommend putting some kind of protective layer down as bits of wax ended up pinging all over the place!  Kev lit the first candle and went to town. He started with the red, which turned out to be the hottest of the 3 candles. Typical!

How did it feel? Well, it burned. Sometimes it felt pleasant, like a slightly too warm shower and other times the sting was hard, intense and evil. It seemed to depend on location on my body and also how high up Kev held the candle.  I found the wax from the pourer to be less stingy and the blue wax wasn’t as stingy as the red but more evil than the pretty lilac. The wax from the jug pours and turns the experience from a sharp drip and a dribble to a continuous streak across skin. I liked that contrast to the drip drip drip of the standard candles.

I’m sharing photos of the more polite bits of me.  But I got wax on my breasts first (the nipples being one of those places where the wax burns the most!) and on my bum which was extra tortuous as I still had marks from my experience at Miss Ts and I swear Kev was aiming for the most stingy bits! If you want to see my bum and boobs covered in wax then check out  my fetlife profile .

The most intense burn was in the small of my back. That made me scream and curse and wiggle about like a woman possessed. Kev only did that once, thank God. I’m not sure I could have taken more in that spot.  It was funny, the day we played was hot and I had the window open. It was only after we stopped playing I remembered. I had been howling really loud throughout our wax play…anyone in the street will have wondered what the bugger was going on! Accidental Exhibitionism for the win!

Now after Kev painted me, he wanted a turn at being canvas. So I got to do some dripping too, yay. I found the candle melted quickly and pretty evenly and were easy to handle. I didn’t try to do anything specific but managed to write a V on his back which was fun. I really enjoyed watching him squirm and finding the perfect height to drip from.

After our fun we went and showered to get the hot wax off. That worked well, though I had to clear up the bits that pinged off on the way. :D  There was a lingering burn for a few hours but no permanent marks were left. So these candles are good to play with when you don’t want any marks to explain away the day after!

Of course, as with any kinky play be aware of the risks and do your research before hand. You’re dealing with naked flame so be careful about where you leave your candles standing and don’t leave them burning unattended.

Loved these candles from Kinkcraft I knew they’d be good quality as the paracord flogger I made from there kit was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to order more.

  1. I’ve done hot wax with Chanukah candles. They seem to have a pretty low melting point.

    Extremely exciting.

You guys are brave posting your pix, though!
