It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here! The next book in the Point Vamp Series is out today! The Point of Evil is Steve’s Story, the third of the pack of vampire friends he’s been patiently waiting for his turn in the limelight. Well, not patiently, he’s been nagging me forever. Damn, vamp but now you can read all about Steve’s love of blood and sex and the girl who makes him stop and think for a change.

Blood and sex were all he ever wanted until love gave him something worth living an eternity for.

Steve—who had been a womanizer in life and was even more so in death—prowls the Point using his vampiric wiles to get the blood and sex he craves. He’s always looking for his next meal and when he sees a tall, curvy beauty with a red scarf around her neck, he thinks he’s found it.

Eloise is different—she’s shy and needs encouragement, and Steve just can’t get her out of his mind. He has to take his time, get to know her and slowly seduce her. When she disappears, leaving only a note begging him not to pursue her further, he can’t help himself and ends up in the service of George Aquino, a vampire crime boss with a penchant for twisted and cruel torture and a dungeon full of prisoners.

A daring rescue, a difficult choice and love against the odds. Do you dare visit the point of evil?

Reader Advisory: This book contains violence and references to rape and sexual assault.

Steve is smooth, check him out!

“Hey, I’m Steve. I’ve not seen you in here before, have I?”

She looked at me with an intense stare of ice cold blue then shook her head delicately.

“Welcome to The Point. How are you enjoying it so far?”

“It’s all right.” She shrugged. Her voice was like a perfectly honed bell, her accent as cut glass English as you could imagine.

“Well, it’s about to get better. Here, let me get you a drink.”

“I don’t drink,” she blurted.

“Oh, the bar does soft drinks, too. It doesn’t have to be alcoholic.”

“Yeah, of course.” She twiddled her fingers together in front of her nervously.

“Have you never met a vampire before?” I asked before I thought too much about it.

“I’ve met a lot of vampires before, just never here.”

“Oh, right. Well, you’re lucky. Most vamps who aren’t in The Point are vicious bastards who drink their fill of beauties like you.”

“I suppose I am lucky,” she replied with a soft, wistful smile.

“Come on, then, let’s go and get a drink.”

“Thank you, Steve, but I really shouldn’t. I probably should be getting home—”

“I know it’s nerve wracking and I’m not going to say I’ve not thought about sucking your blood, because I have, but I’m a gentleman. A drink is just a drink—there’s no pressure for anything else at all. I’d like to get to know you more, know your name even. Anything more is negotiable.”

“Oh, okay.” She said the words quickly like she wanted to get them out in the world before she changed her mind. “And my name is Eloise, so you know that now.”

“Thank you,” I replied and pressed my hand gently to the top of her arm. She flinched away so I pulled back. Eloise walked forward without any more prompting over to the bar.

“What would you like?” I asked.

“A lemonade, please.”

I flagged over Carol, and she poured out our drinks. Gracie was at the other end of the bar chatting to another vamp. She’d not even noticed I was back. I was glad—last thing this nervous little thing needed was Gracie up in her face.

“So, what brings you to The Point?” I asked, taking a sip of my bourbon and Coke. Alcohol doesn’t work much on vampires, but it had been my tipple as a human and it felt right to have the mellow burn and sweetness while I was chatting up a girl. A lot can be said for tradition—Josh had taught me that.

“Curiosity, I guess.” She shrugged. “I wondered what attracted people in.”

“Have you found it?”

She gently shook her head.

“You’ve not spoken to me long enough, yet.”

She giggled. It was a beautiful noise like a wind chime shaking in the breeze. It sent a shot of pure lust through me.

“So then, why do you come to The Point?” She turned my question around on me.

I shrugged and took another sip of my drink. “To tell you the truth, I come here to sate my appetites.”

“And they are?” Eloise tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and pursed her lips around the straw in her drink.

“Sex and blood.” I grinned. “I don’t ask for much.”

“Is that why you’re talking to me now? Do you want to fuck and suck me?” She spun the straw in her drink with one finger with an air of nonchalance but there was something in the way she held her body that spoke of something much deeper.

“I’d be lying if I said no,” I carefully responded, “but that’s not just it. I want to know about you. You intrigue me.”

“Really?”

I nodded. Her piercing blue eyes held me still. I was pulled in by her intense gaze.

“Oh.”

“So tell me something about you.” I casually opened that conversation. Women like to talk about themselves—a guy in college taught me that—but Eloise clammed up. She directed her body away from me and concentrated on her drink.

“I’m not asking for much,” I tried again. “Even the name of your favourite breakfast cereal will do.”

“Sorry.” She smiled, hesitantly meeting my gaze. “I don’t really want to talk about me and I don’t eat cereal.”

“Full English breakfast?”

“Toast.” Her smile was tentative but genuine and I liked it. She was a complex woman but when she let the barriers down and I caught glimpses of the real Eloise, I knew it was worth digging deeper.
