Silver Flash – Antique Seduction (part 2)

Well, here I am. I didn’t flash last week due to the fact I had so much to do and even though I’m equally as busy this week I’m flashing because I missed it so much and I want to find out what happens between Richard and Elizabeth.

To quickly recap in Antique Seductions Part 1 Richard wants to buy a Welsh dresser from Elizabeth’s shop and in negotiating a price he gets her to kiss him. In today’s episode Richard comes back to collect his piece of furniture and I work in the prompts ‘What’s that noise’ and ‘Why don’t you try taking the wrapper off first.’

Antique Seductions

The day dragged on as the rain poured down and Elizabeth tried desperately to distract herself until closing time. No customers came through the door as the wet and the cold put most sane people off going outside at all. At.5pm she started to hunt through her emergency stash of sweets for something to suck on to help eliviate her nerves.

Richard would be back soon to pick up his furniture and they’d kissed. She really hoped they’d kiss again but she wasn’t sure how to make that happen. Elizabeth was generally shy, though ruthless when In an auction bidding for an item she wanted she was generally laid back and timid. She had no idea how she was going to seduce him and was very much afraid he’d end up leaving with his dresser and not her.

As 5.30 approached she pulled out a lollipop from her stash. She knew it wasn’t good for her and would only put more padding on her hips but she needed the sugar, she was convinced of that. The only problem was getting into it. The paper on it was stuck down and twisted so tightly she couldn’t get it to pull away from the stick so in the end she bit at it in desperation.

“Why don’t you try taking the wrapper off first?” A now familiar voice echoed around the room and made Elizabeth jump. She’d not even heard the bell on the door as he’d come in.

“That’s what I was trying to do,” she said and threw the offending sweet back into her drawer before slamming it shut.

“Now, I believe you’ve come to pick up the Welsh dresser” she walked around to stand in front of her desk, despite her knees wobbling and her heart banging like thunderstorm rain on hard tarmac.

“That was the idea,” Richard said and strode across the room towards her. His mac was wet and his hair slicked down and dark with rain. “But I thought that if I brought my man with me to help me move the aforementioned item into the van I would not be able to do this.”

He pulled her into him and the shock of his wet coat against her thin blouse made her gasp. He kissed her before she could voice complaint and as his lips caressed hers all agitation melted away and she forgot the discomfort of the wetness from his coat seeing into the material of her clothes.

“What’s that noise?” He asked, pausing mid kiss and Elizabeth stilled and tried hard to control her ragged breath.

“All I can here is the rushing of my blood through my veins.” She replied.

“I thought I heard the bell on the door.”

“Well, they can rattle in stormy weather sometimes.” She pulled herself away from him and went to draw the bolts across the door. “There, that should stop it.”

It was only as she walked back that she became aware that her white blouse was sticking uncomfortably to her stomach. When she looked down she realised the front of it was virtually see through with damp.
“I think you should take that off,” he said matter-of-factly as he pulled off his coat and threw it over her desk, “you’re going to catch you death of cold.”

“And who’s fault would that be? “She snapped as she walked closer.
“That would be mine,” he reached out and unbuttoned the top button on her shirt, “I am terribly sorry. I was overcome with this urge to kiss you and I just forgot myself.” His fingers brushed across her flesh as each button pinged open. She shuddered with delight as he pulled open the last one.

“Oh, you poor love, you must be freezing. Here, let me share my body heat with you.”

He pulled the wet material off her shoulders then wrapped her up in his now warm and soft embrace. His suit was well tailored and soft so she did not mind being rubbed against it as he held her.

Elizabeth thought she was dreaming. She was stood half naked in the middle of her shop being embraced by a fully clothed, handsome gentleman she barely knew. These kinds of things just don’t happen to girls like me she thought.

“Look, I need to make this up to you. I suggest you come over to my place. I’ve got a delicious casserole cooking and a log fire burning in my grate. Both will warm you up.”

“Oh, but I couldn’t do that,” she said, “I need to lock up and…”
“Hush.” He laid his finger on her lips. “I insist.” He pulled back once more, took off his jacket and hung it over her shoulders. “Put that on and then lock up. You’re coming back home with me.”

Elizabeth knew she should protest, it was dangerous to accompany a stranger to his home but she didn’t feel like Richard was a stranger and she longed for more of his kisses. So she fastened up the buttons of his suit jacket and went to lock up, anticipation burnt in the pit of her stomach.

Tune in next week to see what happens next. Dun-Dun-Duhhhh!

  1. I like the pace of this one. I think there’s something about Elizabeth that makes Richard want to go slow to make sure to reel her in.

And now for something.. Somewhat the Same!
