Smut by the Sea 2016 has been and gone. The day flew by with more fun, double entendre and laughter than you could shake a stick at. Back at the gorgeous Scarborough Library we got set up and welcomed in the sexy smutters, many arriving early in their eagerness.

Our Erotic Marketplace was chock full of sex toys. Our Sponsors Godemiche  brough a table full of their lovely handmade silicone dildoes for people to play with and introduced the amazing Roxy, an attachment for your Doxy! I’m intrigued by that one I must say.  Miles from amazingo.co.uk brought a table full of goodies too. And with the amazing offerings from Uber Kinky, Toys 4 Naughty Boys, System Jo, Sextoys.co.uk , Nice N Naughty, Esensual Books, Xcite and Poison Pixie on the Smut.UK Erotic tombola there were lots of sexy goodies to admire, buy and win!

We started the day in the concert hall with a little introduction from yours truly and then the first of two reading slams. I got to read twice this year. Once in the first slam with Anna Sky, Slave Nano and newbie Richard V Raiment who read amazingly well especially as he was juggling a laptop to do so!

Jennifer Denys brought us Sex in Sci fi Stories for the first workshop and ended with a call for submissions on the theme. Check it out and send your out of this world stories over to Jen!

Just before Lunch I spotted the very rare Unicorn of Smut. Otherwise known as Jay JW Creative Networker with a big pink dildo stuck to his forehead. Much thanks to Sextoys.co.uk for the item that created such mirth and Bea for attaching it to his forehead :D And of course, thanks to Jay for being such a good sport.

Janine Ashbless Started the afternoon in spectacular fashion dressed the part for her Writing Fantasy Erotica Workshop.

After which we gathered for more reading Slam fun. I let authors decide what they’re reading and found it fascinating that my three fellow readers all had gay male excerpts to read out. I was the odd one out with a hot (literally) scene from Something Brave . Jennifer Denys, Dylan McEwan and KD Grace also read. Dylan was another brilliant newbie with the knack for reading aloud and a desire for a spanking. I was glad my paddle got some use…even when Jen had to use it on me for going over my time. I didn’t enjoy it at all. *coughs* *splutters*

Anna Sky from Sexy Little Pages presented the last workshop of the day on Self Publishing. Lots of great hints and tips were given and found useful by newbies and established writers alike.

To finish the day we experienced the first of a brand new kind of creative Cabaret show currently called Dr Scribbly (new name suggestions welcomed!) hosted by Jay JW Creative Networker.

Bea Noir gave two stunning performances as Super Bea and a Wizard with a new spell.  Oohs, ahhs, ohs and Bloody hells rang around the hall and then authors wrote pretty words inspired by Bea’s amazing performances.

What a spectacularly brilliant day. Thanks to every person there as it’s you smutty folks who make these events the great success they are. And a final thank you to our sponsors Godemiche for all the fun and laughter. Also a special mention for my amazing partner in Smut Kev Blisse, without his help, support, planning and patience the events wouldn’t come to fruition.

And I’m happy to announce that next year’s Smut by the Sea at Scarborough Library has already been booked. See you there on the 18th March 2017. Earlybird tickets are available now from just £10!
