Team Smut have been at the Manchester Alternative and Burlesque Fairs since December 2013 and yet it seems I rarely blog about the event, how remiss of me. So it seems appropriate to give you a run down of the first ever Mega fair at the Ritz.
The Smut Stall at Sound Control December 2014
The Ritz is a brand new venue for the fair, Sound Control was awesome and I’ll always have fond memories of our time at the cellar of sin but it was really good to have the space at the new place. Smut UK set up shop by the stage and we had two tables full of the smutty stuff.
Smut books, funny badges, lil pots of love and kink as well as the world famous (or infamous?) Erotic Tombola…which we really should rename the Tomboner, shouldn’t we? We had it all on two tables to let the smut grow!
We also carried some Steampunk guns made by Jay and some harnesses made by Bea together they’re the Cognitive Merchant.They got lots of admiring glances and most of the stock was snapped up by the end of the day.
Our Erotic Tombola proved super popular once more with amazing prizes from Uber Kinky, Sex Toys.co.uk, Kink Craft, Sh!, Dark Rose Desires, Cara Sutra, Give Pleasure and Casa Hari that had people lining up all day to have a go or three. You can find a list of exhibitors at the Manchester Alternative and Burlesque Website but we saw friends from Fairs past with Nippleicious and Dark Rose Desires and made new friends like the guys on the stall next to us from Sequin Show Stoppers.It was a packed event with 800 people through the doors. We were kept busy all day.
We were very grateful for the help of honorary Team Smut member Matt S of Genesis of a Dominant Model fame. He was a brilliant sales person and this time only won a few items from the tombola. And talking of winning, I’m glad to say that Matt took part in the Alternative Model of the Year contest whilst at the event and has gotten through to the Finals, Congratulations Matt!
The next Manchester Mega Fair is on the 5th December back at The Ritz. Team Smut will be back with some extra special Christmas treats including all you need for a cosy night in (a sexy book, something to drink and something buzzzzzzzzy), lil’ pots of Christmas, sexy Christmas stockings and more.
